Pillowtime collects the following types of information:

• Analytics Data: Non-identifiable information about app usage to improve functionality.
• Character Creation Data: Name, Age, Gender, and Photo provided by users. This data is sent to a third-party service to generate illustrations for books. The photo is deleted from our CDN after processing.
• Payment Information: Managed through Apple Pay. Pillowtime does not store payment details.
• Login Information: Users can log in using Apple ID, Google Account, or Email. We only collect email addresses for account creation and login purposes.
• Generated Images: Stored in a public content delivery network (Uploadcare CDN) for easy access.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used solely for the following purposes:

• Enhancing app functionality through analytics data.
• Creating personalized storybooks and illustrations based on user-provided character data.
• Facilitating secure payments via Apple Pay.
• Managing user accounts and enabling login functionality.

3. Data Sharing

Pillowtime does not sell or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• When using a third-party service to process user photos for illustrations. These photos are deleted from our CDN (Uploadcare CDN) after processing.
• To comply with legal requirements or enforce our terms and conditions.

4. Face Data Usage and Third-Party Processing

At Pillowtime, we take the privacy of your data seriously, and we want to provide clear and explicit information about how we handle your photos, especially in relation to the face data you provide for character creation. Here is a detailed explanation of what happens with your photo when you use our app:

• Collection of Face Data: We collect a photo of your face solely for the purpose of generating a character illustration. This photo is used to create an avatar that will appear in personalized storybooks for children.
• Processing by Apiframe: The photo is sent to a third-party service called Apiframe. Apiframe's role is to process the photo and use it as a reference to create a drawn character image. This character image is then sent back to our system to be used in the app.
• Temporary Storage: The photo you provide is temporary and is immediately deleted from our CDN (Uploadcare CDN) once the character image is successfully created. In the unlikely event that the character creation process fails, your photo will also be deleted immediately. We do not retain the original photo once it has been processed.
• No Identification of Real Image: Apiframe does not have any way to associate the provided photo with a specific individual. The photo is solely used to generate the character illustration and is not stored or linked to any personally identifiable information. Apiframe does not retain your photo on their systems and does not use it for any purpose other than generating the character image.
• Temporary Links for Processing: Apiframe may use third-party services to store the image, but these services only provide a 24-hour link for the image (the link is not shared or published by our system). After this period, the image link is no longer accessible.
• Deletion of Photo: Once the photo has been processed and the character image is created, the photo is permanently deleted from our CDN (Uploadcare CDN). At no point do we retain the original photo.
• Use of Character Image: The character image created from your photo is used only for displaying within the app and for generating images in the personalized storybooks. This image is what will be shown in the app, not the original photo.

We understand that privacy is a major concern, and we want to ensure that you feel comfortable using our app. By providing a photo, you are consenting to its use solely for the purposes outlined above. 5. Data Storage and Security

All user-provided data is securely transmitted during upload to ensure data integrity. Generated content, such as illustrations and other non-sensitive assets, is stored on our public CDN (Uploadcare CDN) to allow fast and easy access. While these assets are publicly accessible, we ensure that no sensitive or personal information is included in the stored content. Personal data, such as emails and payment information, is managed with strict security measures and in compliance with industry standards, including iOS guidelines.

6. User Rights

As a user, you have the right to:

• Request the deletion of your account and personal data by entering any character shelf, tapping the settings icon in the top right, and using the "Delete my account" button.
• Access or update your personal information.
• Withdraw consent for data collection by contacting our support team.

7. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services, including those for illustration generation and analytics. These services comply with their own privacy policies, and we take care to ensure that only necessary data is shared with them.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use of the app indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
